LUXURY TENTED CAMP SARIKA
SITE LOCATION: Canyon Point, Southern Utah, USA
Set at the foot of a majestic rocky escarpment, with breath-taking views of wind sculptured mesas and the iconic big sky backdrop of the Colorado Plateau, Camp Sarika is a master work in nature adaptive form and function.
SCOPE OF WORK
Turnkey Textile Architects & Engineers.
Working closely with the Amangiri leadership the Tenthouse Structures team took on a comprehensive back-to-the-drawing-board brief to form- find, engineer, specify, detail, supply and install the tensile membrane roofing structures and the full interior & exterior canvas envelope for ten luxury accommodation units.
The guiding principle was to be as lightweight and energy efficient as possible and match the uncompromising luxury aesthetics of the larger Amangiri resort.
The Tenthouse team was consulted to provide the steel frame modelling for manufacture in the USA and we designed, supplied, and installed a prototype on the site for both the architects, ourselves and the contractors to proof detailing, test run performance capabilities over a full season cycle and optimize the construction process.
